These courses aim to introduce the general principles of toxicology and the influences of toxicants (poisons) on biological systems and the environment. In addition, some special topics on target organ toxicity, environmental toxicity, regulatory toxicology, food and drug safety-related regulations, clinical toxicology, health risk assessment and management will introduce to broaden student’s experience into the sciences of toxicology.
The purpose of these courses is to guide students to acquire research capacity and to conduct an evidence-based scientific research project to complete a dissertation. These courses train students to be able to interpret the current concept in different branch of toxicology and find significant issues needed to be resolved and design the appropriate experiments to test their hypothesis and analyze and interpret data logically. Courses focusing on special topics in Toxciology such as analytical toxicology, application of lab animals in toxicological research, bioinformatics, computational toxicology, data management of medical database, genomics toxicology, immunotoxicology, molecular toxicology, pharmacotherapeutics, toxicological database are also offered to help students success in their research interests.
